Job summary

Agnico Eagle Mines Limited is seeking a Miner 3, Mucker for the Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake, Ontario. You will support near-surface operations, mucking with scoops, and operating underground trucks while upholding safety and environmental standards.

You must have at least 3 years as a Miner 4 or equivalent, be physically fit, and demonstrate strong safety awareness and teamwork. The role requires flexibility for shift patterns on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Miner 4 or equivalent.
• Literacy and numeracy to minimum year/grade 10.
• UG Mining knowledge and experience (Miner 4 for at least 3 years).
• Similar role in another operation.

Responsibilities

• Muck/remote mucking with scoops.
• Operate UG Trucks and assist with nipping materials.
• Ensure safety, keep accurate records and daily KPI alignment.
• Housekeeping and pre-operational equipment checks.
• Communicate effectively with team and supervisors.

YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE

Reporting to the Near Surface Supervisor, you will be part of the Near Surface Department. You will provide support; including, mucking/remote mucking with scoops, operating UG Trucks, and assisting with nipping materials. You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

Completed & ongoing competence with required core modules

• Occasionally Blasting oversize rock, Operate Scoop, extend services, Operate Utility Vehicle;
• Training. Per the KLG Underground Mining Classification Guideline;
• Competently to perform all UG Truck, UG Scoops, Utility vehicles;
• Demonstrate competence in relevant UG Hardrock common core;
• Housekeeping – keep work areas and equipment clean free from hazards;
• Perform equipment pre-operational verifications;
• Communication – listen to and communicate with others, keep accurate records on zero harm 5 point card, aligning with daily tasks;
• Teamwork – work with others to meet and where possible exceed daily KPI’s set by Supervisor;
• Other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Miner 4 or equivalent;
• Physically Fit, self-starter with can do attitude;
• Tolerance for hot, cold and humid environments;
• Demonstrated Safety awareness;
• Literacy and Numeracy to minimum year/grade 10;
• UG Mining Knowledge and experience (Miner 4 for at least 3 years);
• Similar role type experience in another operation.
