Job summary

Agnico Eagle Mines Limited is seeking a Miner 3, Mucker for its Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake, ON. Reporting to the Mine Supervisor, you will contribute to production goals while upholding safety and environmental standards.

The role requires a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Miner 4 or equivalent, physical fitness, and the ability to work in hot, cold and humid underground conditions on a 7/7 schedule. This is an on-site, non-camp position.

• Physically fit, self-starter with a can do attitude.
• Tolerance for hot, cold and humid environments.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Mine Supervisor and be part of the Mine Operations Department.
• Perform Mining 4 functions (Production/Development).
• Maintain housekeeping and safe work areas free from hazards.
• Communicate clearly and keep accurate records for daily tasks.
• Work collaboratively to meet daily KPIs and perform other duties as assigned.

YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

Reporting to the Mine Supervisor, you will be part of the Mine Operations Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

Completed & ongoing competence with required core modules: Staging, Drilling, Rock bolting, Blasting, Operate Scoop, extend services, Operate Utility Vehicle, Fall Arrest Training (as per the AEM Underground mining Classification Guideline);

Competently perform all Mining 4 functions (Production/Development);

Demonstrate competence in relevant UG Hardrock common core;

Housekeeping – keep work areas clean free from hazards;

Communication – listen to and communicate with others, keep accurate records on zero harm 5-point card, aligning with daily tasks;

Teamwork – work with others to meet and where possible exceed daily KPI’s set by Supervisor;

All other duties as may be assigned.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Compensation Statement

In accordance with applicable legislation, the expected compensation includes base salary and potential bonus opportunity. Your individual pay will reflect your skills and experience while remaining competitive within the local market.
