Job summary

JDS Group of Companies in Wells, BC is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance department for Cariboo Gold Mine. You will develop and oversee maintenance strategies for surface and underground equipment to maximize availability and reliability, while ensuring safe, efficient, and budget-conscious operations.

You will drive safety, coordinate with operations, manage budgets and CMMS, and mentor a team of supervisors, mechanics, and support staff to meet production goals

Qualifications

• Mechanical knowledge with ~10 years experience preferred.
• Management experience of at least 2 years required.
• English language proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Develop safety culture across the maintenance department.
• Lead safety investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and execute preventative and predictive maintenance programs for all site equipment.
• Aim to achieve 85% equipment availability.
• Coordinate planned maintenance with operations.
• Monitor maintenance performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
• Oversee CMMS to track work orders, inventory and data.
• Mentor and evaluate maintenance staff; support training and development.
