The role emphasizes on-site collaboration, strong technical skills in mine planning software, and a path toward professional registration. Two to four years of on-site mining experience and a Bachelor’s in Mine Engineering are required, with P.Eng eligibility or active status preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of on-site mine engineering/operations experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mine Engineering or equivalent.
• Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) with APEGA or eligible to apply.
• Understanding of Mine Geoscience and Regulatory requirements.
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills; able to build relationships with stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Mine Planning software suites (CAD & Scheduling), Excel, Power BI, VBA, Python.

Responsibilities

• Plan 0–2 year mine plans aligning with business goals and forecasts.
• Design highwalls, benches, and related structures.
• Conduct mine planning including reclamation, drainage, roads, and infrastructure.
• Schedule mine activities and balance material flows.
• Plan tailings and regulatory reporting.
• Support stewardship and continuous improvement initiatives.
