Job summary

Suncor is seeking a Team Lead, Mine Maintenance at the Fort Hills site in Alberta to lead a skilled maintenance team responsible for major mining equipment. You will champion safety, drive reliability, and develop team capability in a high-paced environment.

The role requires leadership in a fly-in/out camp setting with 12-hour shifts, seven days on/off, and strong SAP skills to optimize maintenance operations. CAMP-based site supports ambitious projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of progressive experience in a mine maintenance environment.
• Extensive knowledge of Mine Mobile Equipment, incl. haul trucks, shovels, and auxiliary equipment.
• Proven leadership track record guiding teams and delivering maintenance objectives.
• Valid Alberta or Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyperson.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong SAP and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily maintenance activities by employees and contractors according to schedules.
• Lead daily toolbox meetings and monthly safety meetings to drive safety culture.
• Remove roadblocks to enable workers to perform maintenance tasks effectively.
• Support planning and scheduling with feedback on daily job completion and workforce forecasting.
• Ensure safety and performance standards while aligning resources with business objectives.
• Collaborate with area supervisors, the reliability team, and operations on work notifications.
