Position Overview

This position reports to the Mine Maintenance General Foreman and supervises Electricians, indirectly reporting to the Mine Electrical General Foreman.

What You Will Do

1. Maintain safe working conditions by identifying hazards and implementing corrective actions.
2. Ensure compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, company policies, and regulations.
3. Support and promote site safety programs.
4. Lead investigations into underground safety incidents and production losses.
5. Provide updates to relevant supervisors and coordinators.
6. Assign responsibilities and work schedules based on maintenance plans.
7. Manage work breaks to support operations and maintenance.
8. Recommend improvements and maintain good interdepartmental relations.
9. Review schedules and provide feedback.
10. Coordinate and deliver employee training.
11. Manage employee performance and administrative tasks such as scheduling, work requests, and safety documentation.
12. Support mine operations and maintenance activities.

What You Will Bring

1. At least 3 years of experience in underground mining or relevant education and experience.
2. Class A First Aid qualification.
3. Willingness to work days and nights on shift.
4. A Mine supervisor ticket or the ability to obtain one.
5. Strong leadership, employee engagement, and conflict management skills.
6. Effective communication skills.
7. Commitment to continuous improvement and adaptability to new technology.
8. Proficiency in office software and willingness to learn site-specific systems.
9. Knowledge of Potash operations, heavy equipment maintenance, mine infrastructure, maintenance planning, and work order systems.
