Position Overview

This is a permanent, full-time position based in Hagersville, Ontario, offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to demonstrate leadership and mechanical expertise within a large manufacturing operation.

Responsibilities

1. Diagnose mechanical issues using observation, listening, and testing tools such as laser alignment devices, ultrasound, and vibration analysis.
2. Remove and replace defective parts using appropriate tools and equipment.
3. Adjust and calibrate machinery using hand tools, levels, and schematics.
4. Perform welding (Tig, Mig, Stick) as needed.
5. Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safety.
6. Work from blueprints and schematics, performing basic math calculations.
7. Ensure a safe and clean work environment by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

Qualifications

1. Training as an industrial mechanic, automotive technician, or truck mechanic.
2. Ability to work safely in a mine setting, following all safety protocols.
3. Technical skills relevant to maintenance mechanics or electricians.
4. Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately.
5. Basic computer skills for safety training and communication.
6. Willingness to learn operating mobile equipment like forklifts.
7. Proficiency with hand tools and safety awareness.
8. Good communication and teamwork skills.
9. Flexibility to work 10- or 12-hour rotating shifts, including weekends.
