Job summary

Coeur Silvertip in Northern British Columbia, BC, is seeking a Health, Safety, & Emergency Response Coordinator to join our mining operations on a two-week in/two-week out, twelve-hour-per-day shift rotation. You will assist with developing, implementing, training, and managing our health, safety, and emergency response programs.

The role requires a BC Mine Supervisor certificate (or ability to attain), strong root-cause analysis skills, and experience in incident investigations, training

Qualifications

• BC Mine Supervisor certificate (or ability to attain).
• Experience with root cause analysis methodologies.
• Registration or eligibility for registration as an NCSO or CRST.
• ICS 100, 200, or 300.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of safety policies and site rules for Northern BC underground mining and ore processing.
• Establish professional relationships to ensure regulatory compliance by management, supervisors, and employees.
• Support emergency response capabilities, including training material delivery and maintenance of equipment.
• Identify health & safety concerns by surveying conditions; investigate violations and recommend preventative measures.
• Conduct and create training for management and staff using internal and external resources.
• Lead incident investigations identifying root causes and assist in corrective actions.
