Job summary

Agnico Eagle Mines Limited seeks a Senior Engineer for the Detour Lake Mine Tailings Management Area. You will ensure goals align with Health & Safety and environmental commitments while supporting project delivery on site.

The role includes survey tasks, drone photogrammetry, field coordination, drafting design surfaces, and monitoring critical infrastructure with an on-site schedule. Accommodation and transport to site provided.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary Civil Engineering Tech/Tech degree preferred.
• Experience with field surveying and drone photogrammetry preferred.
• Mining or heavy civil construction experience is an asset.
• Proficiency with Trimble survey instruments is an asset.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete project survey tasks (layouts, topo, quantities, grade) to support construction at the TMA.
• Drone surveys: flight planning, ground control, image processing (PIX4D).
• Coordinate field activities and plan construction work per IFC drawings.
• Assist drafting: design surfaces for data collectors and machine-control files.
• Monitor critical on-site infrastructure weekly/monthly.
• Plan crushing/aggregate requirements and track quantities.
• Assist QA/QC sampling for aggregates size distribution.
• Identify hazards and raise promptly to supervisors and safety.
