Job summary

PTC Construction, a division of Paterson GlobalFoods, is seeking a Millwright for our Red Deer, AB site with construction and agricultural experience. You will install, maintain, repair, troubleshoot and test machinery and equipment, and perform fabrication, fitting, and welding as needed.

The role requires at least 1 year of millwright experience, willingness to travel (10 days on / 4 days off), ability to work 12-hour shifts, and comfort with extreme conditions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ year of millwright experience in construction, industrial, or agricultural settings.
• Experience with fabrication and fitting.
• Comfortable working at heights.

Job description

We have an immediate opening for a motivated, hardworking Millwright with experience in construction and agriculture to work at our site in Red Deer, AB.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair, troubleshoot and test machinery and specialized equipment
• Perform fabrication, fitting, and minor welding as required
• Service and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Operate equipment
• Work safely at heights and around heavy equipment
• Follow all safety procedures and work effectively within a team environment
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ year of millwright experience in construction, industrial, or agricultural settings
• Experience with fabrication and fitting
• Comfortable working at heights
• Strong work ethic with the ability to work 12-hour shifts
• Physically fit and able to consistently lift 50+ lbs.
• Able to work in extreme conditions (cold, heat, dust, and dirty environments)
• Willing to travel and work away from home (10 days on / 4 days off)
• Experience in grain terminals or feed mills is considered a strong asset
• Valid driver’s license
