Job summary

Interpro Pipe & Steel Inc. in Red Deer, Alberta, is seeking a full-time Millwright to repair, troubleshoot and install machinery. The ideal candidate will read blueprints and maintenance manuals and track work using our system.

12-hour day/night shifts, weekends and holidays are required. The position requires a Red Seal or Journeyman status with strong mechanical aptitude, capable of handling air tools, welding and pipe fitting.

Qualifications

• Qualified journeyman millwright or equivalent; IP Red Seal preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, manuals and schematics.
• Capable of reading repair documents and maintenance logs.
• Basic math, geometry, and trigonometry knowledge.
• Excellent written and oral communication and organization.

Responsibilities

• Repair, troubleshoot and install machinery and equipment.
• Read repair documents, manuals, blueprints and schematics.
• Track maintenance using the maintenance system and back up bearings.
• Set up, tear down and rebuild machinery and equipment.
• Operate appropriate tools and maintain safety standards.

Job Description and Responsibilities:

We are currently looking for an experienced full-time Millwright to join our team at Interpro facility in Red Deer, Alberta. The successful individual should be able to repair, troubleshoot and install machinery and equipment using different tools and/or equipment. The ability to read repair documents, manuals, blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures is required. The ideal candidate should also be able to track work/back up roll bearing maintenance and repair using our maintenance management system.

Requirements:

• Qualified as Journeyman Millwright/ industrial Mechanic/ Heavy duty Mechanic/ Hydraulic Mechanic - IP Red Seal preferred
• Experience using all sizes of air impact and electric wrenches, all pipe fitting tools and equipment, i.e. sockets and ratchets, hoists, both electric and manual; jackhammer; cutting torches; welding equipment
• Demonstrated ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings
• Aptitude for setting up, tearing down, and rebuilding machinery and equipment
• Demonstrates knowledge and ability to use computer programs
• Good written, oral communication and organizational skills
• Good problem solving and analytical skills
• Basic math skills, some exposure to geometry, trigonometry preferred
• Minimum high school diploma or GED;
• 12 hour shifts
• Must be available for day and night shifts, including weekends and holidays

Compensation:

$50.16/hour
