Job summary

Comec Energy Services seeks an experienced Millwright Planner (Journey Certified) to join our maintenance team west of Cold Lake, Alberta. The role focuses on planning work, ordering parts, and coordinating with vendors, while reviewing BOMs for rebuilds and maintenance. Experience with SAP is a plus.

You will install, dismantle, and troubleshoot a range of machinery to support SAGD operations. The position operates on a 7 on/7 off 12-hour shift schedule at Foster Creek SAGD site; camp housing

Qualifications

• Journeyman Millwright certification is required.
• Experience in SAGD industry preferred.
• Strong planning and leadership abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Plan the work, order parts, and contact vendors to ensure timely maintenance.
• Review client rotating assets and BOMs for rebuilds and maintenance; ensure accuracy and on-site availability of materials.
• Install or dismantle machinery per company plans, blueprints and diagrams using hoists and power tools; troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Repair malfunctioning equipment such as motors, pumps, valves and controls; diagnose issues and support safe, efficient operations.

Millwright Planner, Journey Certified (West of Cold Lake, Alberta)

Comec is looking for experienced Millwright Planner to join our maintenance team. The individual should have leadership experience and planning experience in the SAGD industry.
This Position will require the candidate to plan the work, order parts, contact vendors, communicate with Client operations/leadership teams. Experience working in SAP is an asset. The main job will be to review client rotating assets and review BOM’s for rebuilds and maintenance. Ensuring the BOM’s are correct and materials are on site.
The Millwright is responsible for installing or dismantling machinery and equipment according to company plans, blueprints, and other diagrams. This will be accomplished through the safe and effective use of hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools. This position also requires that the Millwright troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic problems with associated equipment. The Millwright is also responsible for repairing malfunctioning equipment, such as motors, pumps, valves, controls, for a variety of commodities, and other machines.
This is at the Foster Creek SAGD plant site, shift is 7 on 7 off. 12-hour days. 80RT 4 OT per shift. OT eligible. Competitive rates- will very pending on experience level. Camp work, or bussing available. Flights may be available for the right candidate within Alberta.
Must possess the following safety tickets. (Or willing to go get before starting on site)- H2S alive, First Aid, CSTS 2020, WHIMS, Fall Arrest. Gas testing/Nitrogen Safety. Additionally confined space, certified rigging courses, industry training or equipment training is an asset.
