Job summary

Jardeg is recruiting a Millwright Journeyperson to join the Suncor Firebag maintenance team on site near Fort McMurray, Alberta. This is a temporary full-time position on a 14/14 shift schedule, DAY shift, with accommodations in camp and travel by air to the site.

Responsibilities include reading diagrams and service manuals, rigging heavy machinery, aligning gears and shafts, and servicing hydraulic and pneumatic systems to maintain plant reliability.

Qualifications

• Certified Millwright Journeyperson certification is required.
• Safety certifications listed (CSO, Elevated Work Platform, Fall Protection, Confined Space) are required.
• WHMIS and a valid Class 5 driver license with 3 years of clean driving record.
• Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test completion is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Read diagrams and service manuals to determine procedures.
• Operate rigging equipment and dollies to move heavy machinery.
• Fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors and belts.
• Align and test equipment and perform adjustments as needed.
• Service hydraulic and pneumatic systems and perform preventive tasks.
• Repair or replace defective parts.

Jardeg is recruiting a Millwright Journeyperson to join the SUNCOR Firebag maintenance team on site near Fort McMurray, Alberta. This is a permanent position on a 14/14 shift schedule, DAY shift. Start date is within the next couple of weeks and it will only run for a couple of shifts.

Millwrights install, maintain, repair and troubleshoot stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment in sites such as factories, production plants and recreational facilities.

Responsibilities

• Read diagrams and schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures
• Operate rigging equipment and dollies to place heavy machinery and parts
• Fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, and connect couplings and belts to precise tolerances
• Align and test equipment, and make any necessary adjustments
• Perform predictive and operational procedures
• Repair or replace defective parts
• Service and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems
