Job summary

Randstad Canada is hiring a ticketed Journeyperson Millwright for a full-time, temp-to-perm role in our clean, climate-controlled Nisku shop. You will overhaul pumps, gearboxes, and high-pressure fluid systems in a precision assembly environment.

The position is Monday–Friday day shift, $40.00 per hour with overtime, weekly direct deposits, and a direct path to permanent employment after probation. Strong diagnostic skills and clear English communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Active Alberta Journeyperson Millwright ticket or Interprovincial Red Seal endorsement.
• Proven experience tearing down and rebuilding gearboxes and heavy rotating units in a repair shop.
• Hands-on hydraulic/pneumatic systems experience and diagnostics.
• Strong diagnostic mindset to identify root causes and permanent solutions.
• Clear verbal and written English communication for logging repairs and safety.
• Immediate availability for action.

Responsibilities

• Overhaul heavy rotating assemblies, pumps, and gear trains.
• Troubleshoot, rebuild, and tune hydraulic circuits and pneumatics to spec.
• Perform high-precision shaft and coupler alignments using laser tools.
• Interpret complex engineering prints and shop manuals.
• Conduct dyno, spin, and leak testing on rebuilt units.
• Collaborate with heavy-duty mechanics, welders, and machinists.

Responsibilities

• Precision Mechanical Overhauls: Strip down, inspect, rebuild, and commission heavy rotating assemblies, high-capacity pumps, and industrial gear trains.
• Advanced Fluid Power Diagnostics: Troubleshoot, rebuild, and tune complex hydraulic circuits and pneumatics to factory pressure ratings.
• Laser-Guided Alignments: Carry out high-precision shaft and coupler alignments using advanced laser instrumentation to exceed OEM limits.
• Schematic Mastery: Decode complex engineering prints, assembly diagrams, and technical shop manuals with zero guesswork.
• Bench & Run Testing: Conduct thorough dyno, spin, and leak tests on freshly overhauled units before client shipment.
• Skilled Trades Collaboration: Team up with heavy-duty mechanics, welders, and machinists on intricate multi-trade mechanical builds.
