Qualifications

• Red Seal Journeyman or Alberta Journeyman certificate required.
• Experience in industrial manufacturing is an asset.
• Ability to work rotating shifts (days & nights).
• Must pass pre-employment screening.

Responsibilities

• Receive instructions covering scheduled and emergency repairs, installation and inspection.
• Inspect mill equipment for defects and misalignment, wear or lubrication issues.
• Determine best repair approach to minimize production interruption.
• Advise when equipment shutdown is necessary to prevent damage.
• Disassemble, clean, repair, replace, install and lubricate mechanical equipment.
• Adjust equipment for proper operating characteristics and align gears, bearings and shafts.
• Perform temporary or permanent repairs and work with repair crew on emergencies.
