Job summary

Johnson Electric in Ancaster, Ontario, is seeking a Millwright-Machine Builder to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and install industrial machinery. The role supports safety, reliability, and uptime in a large manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include diagnosing complex equipment failures, performing precision mechanical work, coordinating with internal teams and contractors, and aiding capital projects and commissioning activities. A Red Seal or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

• Secondary School Graduation Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Certificate of Qualification as Industrial Mechanic Millwright, Red Seal, or provincial equivalent preferred.
• Completion of a recognized Millwright Apprenticeship preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced mechanical maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on pumps, valves, actuators, motors, gearboxes, drives, conveyors and related equipment.
• Interpret manuals, schematics, drawings and layouts and perform precision mechanical work including alignment and fabrication.
• Respond to emergencies, coordinate resources, and oversee contractor work to meet standards.
