Job summary

Johnson Electric in Mississauga, ON, onsite, is seeking a skilled Millwright to maintain, refurbish and repair production equipment. You will handle mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and PLC/CNC controls to keep machines running at peak performance.

The role requires 5+ years in CNC/automation repair within high-volume manufacturing, a solid understanding of automotive quality standards, and strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• A skilled trade certificate and/or relevant industrial experience.
• Hands-on technical skills in Mechanical Assembly, Machine Repair, Electrical Systems, Hydraulic Systems, Pneumatic systems, PLC and CNC based control and logic systems, welding, and basic manual machining skills.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the repair and maintenance of CNC machining and automated assembly applications in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of automotive systems and quality requirements based on QS9000 Operating Systems.
• Excellent communication, negotiating, conflict management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair facilities and production equipment.
• Work with other team members to implement new or modified production machines.
• Ensure operational quality and efficiency targets are maintained.
• Maintain Quality Operating Systems with respect to equipment maintenance as per ISO/IATF 16949 Standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
