Job summary

Jardeg is recruiting B Pressure Rig Welders for the Imperial Oil Kearl outage in Fort McKay, Alberta. The role requires proficiency in double jointing, position and roll welding on pipe and fittings, with on-site lodging at the Wapasu camp.

You will join a team with a safety-first mindset, working day or night shifts on a straight-through schedule during an on-site outage. Travel is drive-in/out, accommodations provided, and competitive rates offered.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Certificate of Completion in the Welding Trade.
• Certified B-Pressure Ticket and Energy Safety Canada certificates.
• Valid Driver's License and drug/alcohol testing clearance.

Responsibilities

• Weld up to 30 inches (FDI) per day when material is available.
• Follow company policies, safety protocols and procedures.
• Use hand/power tools and heavy equipment to complete tasks.
• Ensure safe working environment and effective team communication.
• Perform welding in yard and field environments; join/sever metals.

This is for an Outage from Oct 9 to Oct 26.

Jardeg is recruiting B Pressure Rig Welders to join the Heritage Constructors team at the Imperial Oil Kearl site in Fort MacKay, Alberta. This is an Outage, starting on September 11th going until Septnember 20th, shifts are 12 hours, both days and nights. All Rig Welders are required to drive themselves with their rig site. While working on‑site, workers will be staying at the Wapasu camp which will provide hot meals, lodging, workout facilities, Wi-Fi and much more! Rig Welders- are expected to be proficient with double jointing, position welding, and roll welding on both pipe and pipe fittings. Welding will be completed in both yard and field environment. Welders join or sever metals in beams, girders, vessels, piping and other metal components, make metal parts used in construction and manufacturing plants, and weld parts, tools, machines and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Weld up to 30 inches (FDI) per day when the material is available (some welds may be customized while others may be repetitive procedures to complete the work)
• Follow various company policies and procedures.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools and heavy equipment to complete assigned tasks
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
• Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and repairs

• Journeyperson Certificate of Completion in the Welding Trade
• Certified B-Pressure Ticket
• Energy Safety Canada CSO
• Energy Safety Canada Confined Space
• Energy Safety Canada Wood Buffalo / Wildlife awareness
• Basic Rigging - In Person
• Overhead Crane - In Person
• First Aid - Level A or C
• Valid Driver's License
• Satisfactory Drug and Alcohol Test
