Job summary

MT Talent Solutions Inc. is partnering with a global chemical manufacturer to hire a Maintenance Millwright for a straight day shift in Hamilton, ON. You will maintain plant equipment, operate hoisting devices, perform preventative maintenance, and document reports.

The role requires 5+ years of millwright experience, a 433A license, and ability to work outdoors year-round. The position offers 50–55 CAD per hour, full benefits, a pension, tool and workboot allowances, and a stable, long-term

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on plant equipment including pumps, valves, exchangers, and loading arms
• Operate hoisting and lifting devices during repairs and installations
• Work independently and with others to solve mechanical and technical problems
• Create basic drawings of machine parts and work with numbers
• Clean, lubricate, and perform routine maintenance on machinery
• Use welding equipment and hand/power tools as required
• Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance
• Observe safety standards per government and company guidelines
• Write maintenance reports

Millwright – Day Shift Monday to Friday

Location: Hamilton, ON

Here’s what you’ll do in the role:

• Perform maintenance activity on plant equipment including pumps, valves, exchangers, loading arms etc.
• Operating hoisting and lifting devices as necessary during the repair and installation of machinery
• Working independently and with others to solve mechanical and technical problems
• Working accurately with numbers, and on occasion doing basic drawings of machine parts
• Cleaning, lubricating and performing other routine maintenance work on machinery
• Using welding equipment, hand and power tools as necessary
• Performing scheduled preventative maintenance work
• Observing safety in accordance with government and company standards
• Writing maintenance reports

Here's what you bring to the role:

• Valid 433A license
• Gas license is preferred
• 5 or more years of experience as a Millwright in a manufacturing setting. Chemical, mining, steel, aggregates or other heavy industry is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience operating machine shop equipment, drill press, lathe, milling machine, precision instruments is an asset.
• Working at Heights certification is preferred. Ability to work at heights, operate forklift and zoom boom are preferred.
• Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions year round – approximately 80-90% of work is outdoors.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable and hardworking attitude
• Computer proficient - experience with CMMS and MS Office. Experience with SAP is a bonus.
