Job summary

Jamesway Chick Master Incubator Company Inc. in Cambridge, ON is seeking a skilled Millwright for onsite maintenance of production equipment, with shift schedule 3:15pm–1:45am, Mon–Thu.

The role reports to Maintenance – Technical Support Supervisor and offers competitive salary 80k–85k, health benefits, education reimbursement, RRSP, vacation, and team events.

Qualifications

• Must be a certified Industrial Mechanic Millwright or Red Seal preferred.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Industrial Millwright.
• Certified Lift Truck, Crane and Articulation Boom operator.
• Fall Arrest Certification required or equivalent.
• Self-starter with minimal supervision and safe work practices.
• Excellent time management and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Preventative maintenance and repair of production equipment.
• Fabrication of production related items as needed.
• Coordinate with outside contractors for maintenance and upkeep.
• Maintain maintenance shop and spare parts inventory.
• Ensure safety standards and regulatory compliance.

Position Description & Scope

The Maintenance Millwright is responsible for the general maintenance and repair of all production equipment. They will have the opportunity to coordinate and work with outside contractors when necessary for the maintenance and upkeep of facility and machine related items.

Position Duties & Responsibilities

• Preventative maintenance and repairing production equipment
• Building repairs and maintenance
• CNC production equipment programming changes
• Fabrication of production related items
• Maintain maintenance shop supplies and consumables
• Maintain equipment spare parts inventory
• Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor

Qualifications

• Self-starter requiring minimal supervision to accomplish assigned tasks
• Good time management skills with the ability to adapt as required
• Ability to lift heavy objects
• Ability to safely operate a crane; lift truck and articulating boom truck
• Ability to work at heights if required
• Conscientious towards Health & Safety
• Certified Industrial Mechanic Millwright (Red Seal – Interprovincial License Preferred)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Industrial Millwright
• Lift Truck, Crane and Articulation Boom Certification
• Fall Arrest Certification
