Job summary

The Industrial Millwright (433A) vacancy in Waterloo Region seeks a fully licensed millwright who has completed their apprenticeship and brings strong troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance experience from a manufacturing setting.

You will perform preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, and collaborate with production and engineering teams to keep equipment running safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Valid 433A Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) license
• Apprenticeship fully completed
• 7+ years of Millwright experience within a manufacturing environment
• Strong troubleshooting and repair experience with industrial machinery
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, motors, and bearings
• Ability to work a rotating continental shift
• Strong commitment to safety and preventative maintenance best practices
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and machinery
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated production equipment
• Diagnose equipment failures and complete repairs in a timely manner to minimize downtime
• Install, align, dismantle, and move industrial machinery and mechanical equipment
• Support production by responding to breakdowns and identifying root causes of recurring issues
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals
• Conduct equipment inspections and recommend improvements to increase reliability and performance
• Work closely with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to support plant objectives
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety standards, policies, and procedures
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and document completed work orders

Salary Range:

$47-49.25/hour plus 3 weeks vacation
