Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a licensed Industrial Millwright to perform scheduled maintenance on bins, compactors, balers and related plant equipment in our Ontario operations.

You will diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues, maintain service records, and coordinate downtime with fleet teams. The role requires 433A certification, 3+ years of experience, strong troubleshooting, and commitment to safety including LOTO procedures.

Qualifications

• Requires 433A Millwright certification in Ontario.
• 3+ years of millwright maintenance experience.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Experience with waste bins, compactors, balers, or similar equipment.
• Safety-focused with Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on bins, compaction systems, and baler equipment.

Requirements

• Valid Industrial Millwright (433A) Certification in Ontario
• 3+ years of millwright experience in a maintenance or industrial setting (waste/recycling industry preferred)
• Solid understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Experience working with waste bins, compactors, balers, or similar mechanical equipment
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Must be safety-conscious and familiar with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
