Job summary

Latham Pool Products in Brantford, Ontario is seeking a Licensed Industrial Mechanic (433A Millwright) to join our maintenance team on-site. You will maintain, troubleshoot and repair production and facility equipment to maximize reliability and minimize downtime.

Join a collaborative team and contribute to preventive maintenance, safety initiatives and continuous improvement while working with hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated production systems in a stable manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) 433A is required.
  • Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting abilities.
  • Experience with hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and mechanical drives.
  • Ability to read equipment manuals, drawings and schematics.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

The Licensed Industrial Mechanic is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of production and facility equipment. This role plays a critical part in maximizing equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting safe and efficient manufacturing operations.

You will work on a variety of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and automated production systems while contributing to preventive maintenance initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic equipment issues.
  • Diagnose equipment failures and perform root cause analysis.
  • Respond to unplanned equipment downtime and emergency breakdowns.
  • Perform equipment installations, modifications and upgrades.
Preventive & Predictive Maintenance
  • Execute and support preventive maintenance programs.
  • Perform equipment inspections and plant walk-throughs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reliability and equipment performance.
  • Recommend corrective actions and equipment modifications to reduce downtime.
Safety & Compliance
  • Actively participate in all plant safety initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company health, safety and environmental policies.
  • Identify and address unsafe equipment or operating conditions.
  • Support a strong culture of safety and continuous improvement throughout the facility.
Maintenance Planning & Coordination
  • Prioritize maintenance activities to support operational requirements.
  • Coordinate repairs with equipment manufacturers, vendors and contractors.
  • Assist in sourcing replacement parts and maintenance solutions.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders using CMMS.
Qualifications
Required
  • Licensed Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) 433A
  • Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting abilities
  • Experience working with:
    • Hydraulic systems
    • Pneumatic systems
    • Mechanical drives and power transmission components
    • Industrial production equipment
  • Ability to read equipment manuals, drawings and schematics
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Preferred
  • Experience troubleshooting production equipment
  • Manufacturing experience in a fast-paced production environment
  • CMMS experience (MaintainX or similar systems)
  • Welding and fabrication experience
  • Electrical troubleshooting knowledge would be considered an asset
