Job summary

Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited (P&H) Milling division in Hamilton, ON seeks a Mill Supervisor to oversee milling operations, support the millers, and ensure tasks align with company standards. The role focuses on efficiency, safety, and teamwork within a Canadian family-owned food producer.

Qualifications

• Completion of Secondary School Diploma.
• Minimum of 3-4 years working experience in a flour mill.
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Competent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Experience using Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Supervise milling operations with Head Miller, assisting with training, inspections and contributing to continuous improvement projects.
• Monitor, control and focus on improving efficiencies of the mill through communication, troubleshooting, and working with staff.
• Ensure all mills are running optimally and assist hourly millers in daily mill performance checks.
• Plan and prepare for sanitation work orders and mill maintenance during provided downtime.
• Help provide coverage for the Production Supervisor and Head Miller.
• Organize and maintain flour sieves and milling consumable parts.
• Assist during downtime with heat treatments, cleaning and sifter maintenance.
• Maintain a safe working environment and a high standard of housekeeping and sanitation in accordance with BRCGS and Food Safety procedures.
