Job summary

BW Gold, a subsidiary of Artemis Gold Inc., is seeking a capable plant operator for the Blackwater Mine site in central British Columbia. The role requires operating a gold processing plant with emphasis on safety, SOP adherence, and cross-training across plant functions.

The position offers a permanent contract with a two weeks on / two weeks off rotation at a remote camp, and requires the ability to work 12-hour shifts in challenging conditions, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working in

Qualifications

• Experience in operational gold processing or similar plant operations.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams and schematics.
• Experience with multistage crushing.
• CIL operational experience.
• Cyanide destruction operational experience.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate safety leadership and enforce BW Gold safety standards.
• Follow SOPs to operate equipment and processes safely and efficiently.
• Be cross-trained across plant unit functions.
• Maintain a clean-shaven appearance to ensure PPE effectiveness.
• Perform other duties as required.

Schedule: Two (2) Weeks On – Two (2) Weeks Off Rotation

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate effective safety leadership by addressing and enforcing BW Golds safety standards, procedures, and safety systems.


• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols to ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment and processes.


• Willingness to be cross trained across Plant Unit functions.


• May require to maintain a clean-shaven appearence (i.e. no facial hair) to ensure the safe and effective use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) associated with assigned duties.


• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

• Operational Gold Process Plant Experience (Min. OP 3 Level)


• Strong mechanical aptitude and trouble shooting skills.


• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.


• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.


• Multistage crushing experience.


• CIL operational experience


• Cyanide destruct operational experience

Preferred Skills

• Ability to work at a remote location camp on a 2 weeks on/2 weeks off rotation.


• Comfortable working and living in close quarters with the team.


• Ability to maintain high levels of performance over 12-hour shift.


• Ability to lift/move up to 50lbs throughout a work shift.


• Ability to work night shift and in extreme weather conditions.


• Forklift and crane operation skills.


• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
