Job summary

Skeena Gold + Silver Limited is seeking a Mill Control Room Operator to monitor and optimize ore processing at the Eskay Creek mine site in northwestern British Columbia. You will work with process control engineers during commissioning and support ongoing operation to maintain stable plant performance.

The role demands strong communication, initiative, and the ability to work independently in a remote camp environment, with a focus on safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience working in a control room setting.
• Experience supporting commissioning, start-up, or operational readiness activities is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Commissioning & Operations Readiness: support loop testing and commissioning duties, maintain logs of defects and improvements, assist in operator training materials.
• Control Room Operation: monitor and operate process control systems, troubleshoot upset conditions, manage alarms and handover notes, coordinate with field and maintenance teams.
• Additional Responsibilities: assist with shutdowns and other operational support activities, ensure safe operating procedures.
• The Ideal Candidate: experience in mill operations, strong communication and teamwork, safety-focused and proactive.
