Job summary

TWD Technologies Ltd. invites an Intermediate Instrumentation Designer to join our Sarnia team.

You will perform hands-on design work and collaborate with process, electrical, mechanical, piping, civil and structural teams to support projects from design through execution. Ideal candidates bring a diploma or degree in Instrumentation, Controls or Electrical Engineering Technology, plus 4–9 years of relevant experience and strong ability to read P&IDs and technical docs.

Qualifications

• Diploma, certificate or degree in Instrumentation, Controls or Electrical Engineering Technology or related field.
• Equivalent experience may be considered.
• Four to nine years of instrumentation design experience.
• Experience preparing instrumentation and control deliverables for industrial or multidisciplinary projects.
• Ability to read P&IDs and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare instrumentation and control drawings, layouts, schematics and wiring documentation.
• Develop and update instrument indexes, I/O lists, cable schedules and datasheets.
• Review P&IDs, equipment information and client requirements.
• Coordinate design work with process, electrical, mechanical, piping, and civil teams.
• Support field, construction, vendor and commissioning activities as needed.
