Job summary

TWD in Sarnia, Ontario, is seeking an Intermediate Instrumentation Designer to join our team. This role focuses on delivering instrumentation and control drawings and coordinating with process, electrical, mechanical, piping, civil and structural groups.

You will review P&IDs, datasheets and client requirements, participate in design reviews, and provide field and commissioning support as needed. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a project team.
• Experience reading and interpreting P&IDs, drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with instrumentation systems, control systems and electrical interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Prepare instrumentation and control drawings, layouts, schematics and wiring documentation.
• Develop and update instrument indexes, I/O lists, cable schedules, datasheets and related design documents.
• Review P&IDs, equipment information, specifications and client requirements.
• Coordinate instrumentation design work with process, electrical, mechanical, piping, civil and structural teams.
• Work with engineers and other designers to identify and resolve design issues.
• Participate in design reviews and project coordination meetings.
• Complete assigned work within project schedule, budget and quality requirements.
• Review deliverables for accuracy and completeness.
• Provide field, construction, vendor and commissioning support when required.
