Job summary

TWD Technologies Ltd in Burlington, ON is seeking an Intermediate Instrumentation Designer to develop and document instrumentation and control deliverables for industrial projects. You will collaborate with process, electrical, mechanical, piping, civil and structural teams to ensure design integrity from concept through execution.

The role emphasizes hands-on design, accuracy, and timely delivery, with opportunities for growth and a hybrid work arrangement where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in instrumentation, controls or related field.
• Four to nine years of relevant instrumentation design experience.
• Experience delivering instrument deliverables for industrial projects.
• Ability to read P&IDs, drawings and specs.
• Familiarity with industry codes and standards.
• Experience using instrumentation design software.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage priorities.
• Ability to work independently and with a project team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare instrumentation and control drawings, layouts, schematics and wiring documentation.
• Develop and update instrument indexes, I/O lists, cable schedules, datasheets and related design documents.
• Review P&IDs, equipment information, specifications and client requirements.
• Coordinate instrumentation design work with process, electrical, mechanical, piping, civil and structural teams.
• Work with engineers and other designers to identify and resolve design issues.
• Participate in design reviews and project coordination meetings.
• Complete assigned work within project schedule, budget and quality requirements.
• Review deliverables for accuracy and completeness.
• Provide field, construction, vendor and commissioning support when required.
