Job summary

TWD Technologies Ltd. in Sarnia is seeking an Intermediate Instrumentation Designer to join our team.

This role suits hands-on design work and collaboration with process, electrical, mechanical and piping disciplines to support projects from design through execution. You will prepare instrumentation drawings, manage indexes and schedules, review P&IDs, and ensure deliverables meet client requirements and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Instrumentation, Controls or related field required.
• 4–9 years of instrumentation design experience.
• Experience delivering instrumentation deliverables for industrial projects.
• Ability to read P&IDs and engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of instrumentation and electrical interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Prepare instrumentation and control drawings, layouts, schematics and wiring documentation.
• Develop instrument indexes, I/O lists, cable schedules, datasheets.
• Review P&IDs, equipment information, specifications and client requirements.
• Coordinate instrumentation design with process, electrical, mechanical, piping, civil and structural teams.
• Work with engineers and other designers to identify and resolve design issues.
• Participate in design reviews and project coordination meetings.
• Complete assigned work within project schedule, budget and quality requirements.
• Review deliverables for accuracy and completeness.
• Provide field, construction, vendor and commissioning support when required.
