Job summary

Purolator Inc. in Richmond, BC, is seeking a Supervisor of Materials Handling Equipment Maintenance to manage assets across multiple depots in the British Columbia region.

You will lead maintenance programs, oversee reliability, and ensure 99.95% uptime across the Purolator network. The role requires an undergraduate engineering degree and at least five years in a supervisory role overseeing skilled trades, plus extensive Conveyor system experience in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing or equivalent).
• 5 years experience in a supervisory role, supervising and managing skilled trades (e.g., welders, millwrights, electricians, mechanics).
• 5 years experience working with Conveyor systems in a high-volume, 24x7, high-speed package sortation environment.
• 5 years experience as a lead-hand or supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Ensure maintenance programs and support services; Regional Hubs operate with 99.95% uptime and availability, reliability and consistency across the Purolator network.
• Develop, manage, inspect and oversee Material Handling Equipment/Conveyor maintenance programs to ensure availability and reliability, work order completion and performance.
• Coordinate/plan schedules for outside contractor repairs.
• Perform periodic inspections of recently maintained equipment to observe maintenance quality and operating condition.
• Monitor repairs completed by employees for quality standards and productivity requirements; identify and manage asset reliability risks.
• Ensure CMMS standardization, formatting, and content development.
• Will be working in shift as assigned by Manager.
