Job summary

Elk Valley Resources (EVR) is seeking a Supervisor, Maintenance to lead maintenance in the shop and pit, overseeing trades, scheduling, continuous improvement, and staffing to meet company standards.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, ability to coordinate teams, and a focus on safety and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment. It follows a 4x4 day shift rotation in the Elk Valley of British Columbia.

Qualifications

• Trade certification, technical diploma, or degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience in maintenance and maintenance reliability in an industrial environment.
• Experience supervising or leading a team.
• Strong digital literacy and proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies.
• Direct the technical troubleshooting of equipment failures to determine root cause and initiate action.
• Oversee maintenance and repair of heavy-duty equipment to improve availability and reliability for production.
• Manage daily and weekly work schedules to ensure work is completed on time and on budget.
• Supervise contractors and employees, improving performance and efficiency.
• Assist with development of the schedule and sourcing of maintenance supplies within budget.
• Maintain team vacation schedules and approve overtime as needed.
• Monitor KPIs such as downtime hours and schedule compliance.
