Job summary

Bombardier is seeking a Methods Agent, Tooling at the Marcel-Laurin Plant in Montreal, QC. You will collaborate with production and engineering to optimize tooling processes, define jig concepts, and manage tool-related projects across global sites.

Ideal candidates bring a college diploma in mechanical manufacturing or aeronautics, 5 years in manufacturing, and proficiency in Catia V5. Bilingual French-English skills and strong analytical ability are essential.

Qualifications

• College diploma in mechanical manufacturing or aeronautics is required.
• 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Catia V5 drawing software (asset).
• Experience in project management.
• Technical knowledge in mechanical manufacturing.
• Ability to work in French and English.
• Strong manual experience with specialized tools.
• Familiarity with the aeronautical field, especially interior finishing assembly.
• Analytical mind with good organization.
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with production, aircraft methods support, and engineering to analyze tool requests and find innovative solutions.
• Create, validate, and issue estimates and cost analyses for all jig types used in manufacturing and assembly.
• Participate with tool designers in defining tool concepts.
• Issue order instructions to external suppliers to manufacture tools per requirements.
• Ensure rigorous follow-up to minimize delays on requests.
• Inspect tools to verify conformity to drawings before delivery to production.
• Support the aircraft methods group and production during the first jig trial.
• Provide technical support to various production sectors.
• Assist operations during technical issues.
• Travel to different sites worldwide to inspect and evaluate jigs.

What are your contributions to the team?

• Work in collaboration with the production department, the aircraft methods support group and the engineering department in our manufacturing facilities to analyze tool requests in order to find innovative technological solutions that will improve the business performances,
• Create, validate, issue estimates and cost analyses for all types of jigs used in the manufacturing and assembly of aircraft components,
• Participate, along with the tool designers, in the definition of the tool concepts,
