Job summary

Russel Metals is seeking a Warehouse Person for our Edmonton Specialty location. The role involves picking and packing material, operating forklifts and loading trucks, while ensuring safe procedures in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should have 3–5 years in metal warehouses, basic math skills, and the ability to work shifts.

Supervisory experience and overhead crane familiarity are assets. PPE is required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a metal warehouse or similar industrial environment.
• Previous supervisory experience is considered an asset.
• Experience operating overhead cranes is considered an asset.
• Grade 12 or equivalent (experience in the industry will be given consideration).
• Able to work shift work (Days, Afternoons, or Nights as required).
• Able to perform heavy lifting, bending, standing and climbing.
• Good knowledge of math and measurements.
• Willingness to wear all required PPE at all times.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift, side loader and other equipment as required
• Chain rigging loads safely
• Pick and package material according to customer orders and specifications
