Job summary

Russel Metals is seeking a Material Handler/Crane Operator at our Edmonton (Nisku), AB location. Position involves operating cranes and forklifts to load/unload steel materials on rotating shifts and requires adherence to safety and precision in handling materials.

Qualifications include 3+ years of overhead crane experience, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, strong teamwork, and effective communication. Pre-employment medical and drug evaluation are required.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience operating an overhead crane in an industrial environment.
• Experience handling steel plate and/or structural material is asset.
• Strong understanding of safe lifting practices and load securement.
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced production environment is asset.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
• Ability to work rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently load, unload, and transport steel materials using forklifts, cranes, or other material handling equipment.
• Operate packaging tools (machine and hand).
• Using RF devices for accurate material tracking.
• Paying close attention to accuracy and detail.
• Performs all other related duties as assigned.

Russel Metals Inc. is currently seeking an individual for the position ofMaterial Handler/Crane OperatorinourEdmonton (Nisku), AB location.

Rotating shifts is a requirement of the role - rotating every 2-4 weeks (7:00am-3:00pm, 3:00pm-11:30pm, 11:30pm-7:00am).

Role and Responsibilities:
