Steele's Transportation Group in Edmonton, AB is seeking a Forklift Operator (Afternoon Shift) to safely load and unload trucks and trailers. You will collaborate with the shipping and receiving coordinator, operations supervisor, and drivers to maintain accurate, efficient material flow throughout the terminal.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of forklift operation, TDG/WHMIS certifications, strong customer service, and a safety-first mindset.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of forklift operation experience.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Trained in the Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG).
• Ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to work in hot or cold temperatures and dusty environments.
• Safety-oriented and self-motivated.
• Proficient use of English, written and spoken; additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Material handling and safe operation of equipment.
• Unload and load freight from trailers and loading docks.
• Document products, trailers and companies loaded/unloaded.
• Inspect freight for damage and proper packing/labeling.
• Maintain clean work areas and dock/warehouse.
• Complete daily activity logs and report tasks to supervisor.
• Communicate with shipper and supervisor on task completion.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
