Job summary

Brand Momentum is seeking an independent contractor Merchandiser to work at a retail location in Victoria, BC. You will spend about 20 hours per week on weekdays, building attractive displays and ensuring products are well stocked.

You’ll follow planograms, update pricing as needed, and support annual campaigns while interacting with store staff and customers.

The role offers flexibility, independence, and the chance to represent a national CPG brand in a dynamic market.

Qualifications

• In-field merchandising experience and strong communication skills.
• Detail oriented and highly organized.
• Able to lift up to 45 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Flexible schedule on weekdays.

Responsibilities

• Make product displays attractive to customers.
• Move products from storage to displays following a Planogram.
• Update seasonal displays and pricing.
• Place product orders.
• Execute account-specific initiatives (bookings, end caps, marketing programs).
• Identify opportunities to add value during store visits with store staff.
• Provide merchandising support: maintain shelves, update Planograms, fix out-of-stocks, ensure freshness.
• Submit daily required reports.

About the Position

We are currently looking for an independent contractor who is a detail-orientated Merchandiser to work at a retail location, for 20 hours per week on weekdays!

Starting Rate: $20/HR

Responsibilities

• Making our packaged product displays look beautiful and appealing to customers
• Bringing products from the storage area and filling up the displays following a Planogram
• Updating any seasonal displays/pricing
• Placing product orders
• Executing account-specific initiatives i.e. bookings, end caps, marketing programs
• Recognizing opportunities to add value on each store visit while collaborating with department personnel
• Providing regular merchandising support – maintaining shelves, Planogram changes, Out of Stock correction, freshness, etc.
• Preparing and submitting required reporting daily

Position Requirements:

• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships
• Able to maintain a professional demeanour with the public and store personnel when performing duties
• Detail oriented and extremely organized
• Flexibility to adjust to an ever‑changing market environment
• Able to lift up to 45 lbs
• Able to stand for several hours on a continuous basis
