Join our collaborative project team to explore and support the coordination of mechanical and electrical project activities. With proven experience in mechanical and electrical coordination, you will drive project excellence and support your team members. Your passion for organization, detail-oriented solutions, and growth will be essential. As a Mechanical and Electrical Coordinator, you will manage activities and deadlines to meet client, team, and project needs. This role is on-site in Moosonee on a 14/7 rotation schedule.

What You Will Do

1. Proactively identify and mitigate risks to keep the project on track.
2. Assist with document control, meeting minutes, and MEP quality assurance to ensure smooth communication and execution.
3. Manage relationships with MEP trade partners, fostering trust and collaboration.
4. Oversee the document process, review and approve MEP shop drawings for compliance.
5. Conduct inspections of MEP work and equipment, create reports, and track deficiencies to uphold quality standards.
6. Support efforts to meet IPAC requirements, ensuring regulatory compliance.
7. Assist in preparing and validating construction schedules and commissioning, including technical reviews of shop drawings.
8. Monitor construction progress, ensure schedule adherence, and identify challenges impacting commissioning.
9. Support on-site MEP operations and assist site staff for smooth workflow.
10. Ensure quality and commissioning plans from MEP trade partners are executed properly.
11. Coordinate with the third-party commissioning agent to drive the commissioning process.
12. Participate in meetings as needed, contributing insights and support.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of mechanical and electrical experience in construction.
• University Degree/Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Proven track record in mechanical and electrical coordination and teamwork.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proficiency with computer tools and a passion for innovation.
• Knowledge of the Toronto market and ability to work across the Greater Toronto Area.
