Job summary

PEAK Pharma Solutions Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Mental Health Specialist to cover Alberta Northwest with a base in Edmonton. This role focuses on promoting psychiatric products to healthcare professionals, building local relationships, and driving sales within a national team.

The position requires a life sciences or business degree and at least 2 years of Canadian pharma sales experience. Travel is 10-40% with an office-based work setup in Edmonton.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or business administration.
  • Minimum 2 years of sales experience in Canadian pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience in CNS and/or working with psychiatrists is an asset.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills.
  • Familiar with technology (iPad, apps, CRM) including proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve psychiatry sales targets by implementing the business plan and promoting products and services to healthcare professionals.
  • Develop strong relationships with customers by understanding their needs and providing quality service.
  • Deploy continuing medical education programs in collaboration with medical education teams and advisors.
  • Ensure compliance and ethics during training activities.

PEAK Pharma Solutions is seeking a highly motivated, results-oriented Mental Health Specialist to support an important medication, on behalf of our client, covering Alberta Northwest, with a base in Edmonton.

You’ll be an integral part of developing a local presence on behalf of our client.

Responsibilities

The Mental Health Specialist is part of a national team that is highly effective, motivated, innovative and enthusiastic to achieve sales objectives for our client, The Mental Health Specialist reports to a National Sales Manager, Psychiatry. Your role will include:

Achievement of Sales objectives:
  • Achieve psychiatry sales targets by implementing the business plan and ensuring the compliant and expert promotion of our client and its partners’ products and services to healthcare professionals.
  • Develop strong relationships with customers by understanding their needs, providing quality service, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of competing products and scientific advances.
Business Planning:
  • Medical Communication and Education Activities:
  • Deploy continuing medical education programs aligned with the needs of the customers, cycle and action plan, in collaboration with medical education teams and scientific advisors.
  • Ensure compliance and ethics during training activities.
Administration and Corporate Compliance:
  • Ensure rigorous administrative management by keeping target customers up to date, documenting field activities in the CRM, and entering expenses on a regular basis.
  • Fully comply with our clients’ processes, legal rules, and compliance requirements in order to effectively support the company’s business needs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or business administration
  • A minimum of 2 year of sales experience, ideally in the Canadian pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience in the CNS field and/or working with psychiatrists an asset
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills
  • Familiar with the use of technology (iPad, apps, CRM, etc.) including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong customer relationships and influence healthcare professionals.
  • Strong presentation, communication and organizational skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with excellent territory planning and business acumen.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.

  • Competitive compensation based on experience ($65–$90K) plus an incentive structure.
  • Allowances for territorial expenses including car allowance.
