  • French language proficiency is considered an asset
  • Possession of a valid Ontario driver’s license and liability insurance to facilitate frequent travel and transport of clients within catchment area – Required

Job description

Reporting to the Manager, the Mental Health Social Worker II will carry out their responsibilities as a member of a multi‑disciplinary team offering clinical treatment to children/youth who are experiencing emotional/behavioral/social challenges and their families. This position involves working closely with the school boards, Windsor‑Essex Children’s Aid Society, and other relevant community service providers. The Mental Health Social Worker II provides direct clinical services in the areas of individual, group, and family treatment, within the Outpatient Counselling and Therapy department or the Intensive Treatment Services program. The Mental Health Social Worker II is responsible for developing a family‑focused treatment plan, providing service coordination, and consulting with school personnel and community providers as needed. The Mental Health Social Worker II is responsible for delivery of care consistent with the vision and values of the hospital and the standards of relevant professional organizations. They comply with the Occupational Health and Safety standards for the hospital and is proactive in promoting a safe work environment.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years’ experience working with children experiencing significant social, emotional and behavioral needs – Preferred
