Job summary

Brockville General Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical Surgical unit on a part-time basis. The role sits within the Acute Care Surgical and Medical Inpatient Unit and requires ongoing participation in continuing education including BCLS/ACLS.

Ideal candidates hold current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario, with preference for medical/surgical experience, IV therapy, and telemetry. Computer literacy and teaching aptitude are assets in this role.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• BCLS certification (valid throughout employment).
• Preference for medical/surgical experience, IV Therapy and Telemetry.
• Computer literacy and teaching experience would be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care as part of a multidisciplinary team in the medical/surgical unit.
• Maintains current competence through ongoing education and in-house BCLS/ACLS training.
• Contributes to department quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Adheres to hospital policies and professional standards to promote patient and family-centered care.
