Interior Health Authority is seeking a Relief Full Time Mental Health and Substance Use Clinician in Kelowna, B.C., providing essential assessment and therapy for clients with mental health and substance use disorders. We are currently looking for a Relief Full Time Mental Health and Substance Use (MHSU) Clinician to join the Mental Health and Substance Use team based out of the Kelowna Community Health & Services centre in Kelowna, B.C.
This relief position is until December 7, 2026, or the return of the incumbent.
This position is part of the substance use counselling team providing individual and group therapy. Counselling and MHSU experience is preferred.
The Substance Use Clinician functions as a member of the larger Hospitals & Communities Integrated Services (HCIS) healthcare team and a specific MHSU multidisciplinary team. The goal is to ensure timely, responsive, evidence-based treatment and clinical supports for persons experiencing substance use problems/disorders or concurrent mental health and substance use issues.
The Substance Use Clinician provides assessment, treatment, service coordination, and urgent response to complex clients, often with co-occurring disorders and significant functional impairments across various domains of life. The clinician utilizes a variety of specialized treatment modalities and therapies for individuals, groups, and families.
Work hours are from Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 16:30 hours.
