Job summary

FirstOntario Credit Union in Hamilton, Ontario, is seeking a branch associate to deliver prompt, courteous transactional sales and member service. You will assist members with deposits, bill payments, drafts, and direct debit, while identifying cross-sell opportunities and referring to colleagues as needed.

You will support business development goals, balance cash daily, adhere to policies, and collaborate with team to ensure seamless service and member satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Above average interpersonal and communication skills.
• Previous cash handling and/or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, accurate, efficient transactional sales to members including drafts, AFT, bill payments, direct debit, stop payments and bill payment setup.
• Recognize and act upon opportunities to engage members in cross-sell discussions and referrals to other staff.
• Perform retention activity (term maturities, etc.) and track referral activity.
• Assist or relieve other branch positions with duties as required.
• Adhere to policies, procedures and standards; balance cash daily or as instructed; provide overrides within authority.
