The Home Depot Canada in Toronto is seeking a Meeting & Events Specialist to plan, manage and execute meetings and events for store support centers, stores and hotels nationwide. You will lead end-to-end event execution, from budgeting and vendor selection to post-event analysis, while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

This includes creative theme development, request for proposals, site recommendations, logistics planning and budget management. Responsible for managing meeting related expenditures, managing and negotiating contracts and managing vendors. Position is responsible for entire process from planning and development of the event through post-event analysis and follow-up. Position may also work with department Event Managers on meetings and events locally, nationally or internationally.

Direct Manager/Direct Reports: Position reports to the Manager, Outside Sales Process & Operations
Travel Requirements: Typically requires overnight travel less than 20% of the time.
Physical Requirements: Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions: Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

The pay range for this position is between $55,100.00 - $62,000.00
