Job summary

ABB is seeking a technical bridge between ELDS Grid Components and OEMs, distributors, and channel customers in Central/Eastern Canada. You will provide hands‑on application engineering support, review customer designs, and help ensure grid components are specified as the preferred solution, with a strong focus on medium voltage.

You will also shape go‑to‑market strategy, develop reference designs, and deliver training to partners.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • PEng. designation and ability to travel up to 50%.
  • Experience supporting OEM/ distributor customers through design cycles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day design support and application engineering guidance to OEMs, distributors, and other channel customers.
  • Review schematics, layouts, and BOMs to ensure correct component selection and derating.
  • Develop application notes, reference designs, and training materials to accelerate design cycles.
  • Manage and resolve technical escalations across R&D, Quality, and Product Management.
  • Track design-in opportunities from engagement to production qualification, maintaining CRM visibility.
  • Collect market and competitor intelligence to inform product roadmap and marketing strategy.
  • Monitor market trends and suggest improvements to marketing plans.
  • Deliver product training to distributor partners and OEM engineering teams.
  • Drive improvements in Net Promoter Score by acting on feedback.
