Job summary

Hardline Engineering, part of the EllisDon group, is seeking an experienced Distribution Engineer to lead design and development of distribution projects. You will ensure designs meet CSA/AEUC codes and client standards while overseeing projects from planning to commissioning.

The role involves leading smart grid initiatives, performing load flow and fault analysis with CYME/ETAP/PSS/E, and mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering from a program accredited by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board.
• Registered with APEGA as a Professional Engineer or equivalent Canadian professional agency.
• 5+ years of detail design experience in Distribution for Utilities within North America; ATCO, Fortis, ENMAX experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of distribution projects, ensuring compliance with regulations, codes and client standards.
• Oversee project execution from planning through commissioning, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Provide field engineering support during construction and address design issues on site.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with stakeholders to deliver excellent customer service.
