Job summary

A specialized gynecology clinic in Surrey is seeking a part-time Receptionist to manage patient interactions and maintain records. Receptionist in a private specialized gynecology ultrasound clinic.

Responsibilities
  • Greet patients warmly and check them in for appointments
  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments using electronic medical records systems, Plexia
  • Manage multi-line phone systems to answer inquiries and direct calls appropriately
  • Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with privacy regulations
  • Collect and update patient demographics
  • Assist with administrative duties including filing, faxing, and data entry
  • Coordinate communication between patients, providers, and staff to ensure efficient workflow
  • Ensure the front desk area remains organized and welcoming
Skills
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records systems such as Plexia
  • Previous experience as in a medical office setting is highly preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Familiarity with office equipment including multi-line phone systems, fax machines, and computers
  • Experience with administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling, billing, and insurance verification is desirable
