Relocation: Reimbursement available consistent with UHN policy

Shifts: Variable 24/7 and On-call (Casual Shifts: Must be available for all shifts. Day, Evening, and Night shifts including weekends and holidays)

Position Summary:

Join the Joint Department of Medical Imaging (JDMI) at UHN, one of the largest academic medical imaging departments in Canada! With over 750,000 exams annually, we set the standard for clinical excellence. Our cutting-edge digital technology and dedicated team of 700+ staff and 90 radiologists prioritize patient care and image quality. The JDMI is committed to ongoing education and quality assurance, fully affiliated with the University of Toronto and the Michener Institute of Education.

As a valued member of Team JDMI, you will perform various general x-ray and Level 1 CT imaging procedures.

Duties:

  • Perform high-quality general imaging procedures using digital equipment in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Ensure digital quality assurance.
  • Communicate respectfully with patients and team members.
  • Engage in continuing education to meet CAR and hospital standards.
  • Work accurately, safely, and efficiently in high-volume settings, managing unexpected situations.
  • Participate in teaching as required.

Qualifications:

  • Certification by CAMRT.
  • Current registration with CMRITO and compliance with annual continuing education requirements.
  • Previous general imaging experience and current clinical practice in general radiography.
  • Completion of a BCLS program within the past 12 months or current Level II: Basic Rescuer certification.
  • At least one year of recent related experience.
  • Ability to demonstrate sensitivity towards patients in challenging situations.
  • Effective teamwork and communication skills.
  • Strong technical skills, multitasking, and sound judgment to ensure safety and quality.
  • Ability to evaluate and improve your work quality.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including clinical documentation.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changes.
  • Satisfactory work performance and attendance history.
  • Good computer skills, including email communication.
  • Membership with CAMRT is preferred.
