Job summary

Sinai-Health's Mount Sinai Hospital is seeking a registered Medical Radiation Technologist, CT, to perform outpatient scans, collaborate with X-ray and Interventional Radiology, and support Emergency Department coverage.

You will work within the Joint Department of Medical Imaging (JDMI) and benefit from training opportunities across affiliated institutions, developing leadership skills while caring for patients.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Radiological Technology program or equivalent
• CAMRT registration is required or eligible for hire with completion within six months
• Current CMRTITO registration in good standing is required
• Basic Cardiac Life Support Level II required

As an independent and resourceful technologist, you find fulfillment in performing a variety of exams, including Enterography and Colonography, with shared protocols and Radiologists across multiple sites. About the Medical Imaging Department

Mount Sinai Hospital’s Medical Imaging Department provides a state-of-the-art environment for leading edge clinical practice, teaching, and research programs in Radiography. An international leader in medical imaging, we conduct a large volume of various types of Radiography exams for patient populations from the Emergency department to Outpatients and Inpatients.

In this role you will:

• Perform medical imaging procedures
• Operate, troubleshoot and ensure medical imaging and ancillary equipment are performing in an effective and efficient manner
• Prepare written and electronic reports required documenting all procedures and test results
• Participate in teaching, educational, research, safety and quality improvement programs/activities
• Perform other related patient care responsibilities to facilitate the provision of optimal patient care
• Perform other duties consistent with the job classification as required

Job Requirements

Mandatory

• Completion of an accredited degree/post diploma Radiological Technology program, or recognized equivalent
  • Consideration for hire may also be given to applicants currently enrolled in an accredited degree/post diploma Radiological Technology program – as a condition of hire the Radiological Technology program must be successfully completed within six (6) months of hire
• Certificate of registration in the specialty of Radiography from the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
• Currently registered and in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)
• Completion of a Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) program, Level II: Basic Rescuer certification

• Level 2 and 3 CT
• Membership with the CAMRT
