Job summary

St. Joseph's Hospital - London, ON is seeking a registered Medical Radiation Technologist to join our General X-Ray team. You will perform a broad range of diagnostic radiographic procedures while ensuring patient safety, image quality, radiation protection and a positive patient experience.

The MRT will work collaboratively with radiologists, physicians, nurses, Medical Imaging professionals, and the interdisciplinary care team to provide safe, high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized Medical Radiation Technology program.
• Current registration in good standing with CMRITO.
• Knowledge of diagnostic radiography principles, positioning and image quality.
• OHSA safety culture and radiation protection principles.
• Ability to perform procedures requiring independent judgment with initiative.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with internal/external customers.
• Excellent organizational skills and accountability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Full Time

Salary Range: $36.84 - $50.24 /hour

We are seeking a registered Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) to join our General X-Ray team. The successful candidate will perform a broad range of diagnostic radiographic procedures while ensuring patient safety, image quality, radiation protection, and a positive patient experience.

The MRT will work collaboratively with radiologists, physicians, nurses, Medical Imaging professionals, and the interdisciplinary care team to provide safe, high-quality patient care.

Essential Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized Medical Radiation Technology program
• Current registration in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)
• Demonstrated knowledge of diagnostic radiography principles, positioning, radiation protection and image quality
• Knowledge of a Safety Culture in a Health Care Setting in compliance with the OHSA
• Capable of performing various technical procedures requiring independent judgment with skill, ingenuity and initiative
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with internal and external customers
• Excellent organizational skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Demonstrated personal and professional accountability and initiative to achieve high-quality examinations

Preferred Qualifications

• Two years recent experience as a Registered Technologist
• Registered or eligible for registration with CAMRT
• Proficiency in French would be an asset
